The Larsen Brothers – Owners of Togiak River Lodge
The journey to becoming owners of Togiak River Lodge started in 2015 when the previous owner, Larry Lund hired Zack as a fishing guide for the lodge. This was early in Zack’s guiding career but it was Togiak that really revealed a passion for not just sharing the best Alaskan salmon fishing in the world, but also teaching his guests how to be more effective fisherman back home.
In 2016, the previous owner chose to hire the little brother of Zack, Jordan Larsen to produce video content for lodge guests that they could then take home as a keep sake. Jordan filmed salmon fishing content for two seasons and then became an assistant to the previous owner in 2018. By 2019 Zack had taken a more senior guide position and was in charge of all tackle and gear ordering. In the same season Jordan, had the chance to manage the lodge without the previous owner present, and in the winter of 2019 the brothers were presented with the opportunity to become owners and purchase the lodge.
Their first season as owners began in 2020 right in the middle of the COVID19 pandemic. They successfully completed their first season despite travel restrictions due to the pandemic.
Both of their goals as owners is to provide the most genuine and authentic wilderness fishing trip possible for their guests.
